Woman died from smoke inhalation in fatal New Iberia fire

New Iberia, La. -

Investigators say that the 77-year-old woman killed in a fire in New Iberia died from smoke inhalation.

On the night of October 25, 2017, firefighters responded to a trailer on fire on Anderson Street in New Iberia. Once inside, firefighters found the body of Martha Arceneaux.  

The fire was determined to be an accident, according to fire investigators.
