The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating the accidental deaths of two men this morning.

Deputies were called to an area near North Claiborne Street and West Houston River Road in Sulphur.

They found two men, both in their 20s and from California, who were dead.

The men were working on electrical lines from a helicopter, deputies say. Their safety harness was rubbing against the power lines and it snapped, and they both fell, deputies say. They were pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. The fall was about 100 feet, deputies say.

Foul play is not suspected, the deaths appear to be accidental.  Next of kin has not been notified so their names have not been released, deputies say.
