The community is invited to join the Bayou Vermilion District's Vermilionville Living Museum & Folklife Park as we celebrate their annual Native American Culture Day on Sunday, November 12 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Representatives from many of Louisiana's Native American tribes will be on hand to celebrate their living culture through craft/food demonstrations, music, dance and cultural exchange.

This year's activities will include traditional Native American dancing and drumming, as well as, demonstrations such as beadwork, weaving, basket making, pottery, tomahawk throwing, flint knapping, foodways and more. Activities for children will include storytelling and an arts & crafts station. Those attending can enjoy canoeing and Bayou Vermilion boat tours throughout the day in addition to film showings, cooking demonstrations and an exhibit entitled "Tribes of Louisiana" in the Visitor Center's Conference Room until Friday, Dec.1.
