Cracklin Festival starts Thursday

The 32nd Annual Port Barre Cracklin’ Festival starts Thursday, November 9 at Veterans Memorial Park in Port Barre. 

Activities include a cracklin’ cooking contest, crowning of Miss Cracklin’ queen, music, food, carnival rides, and more. Family night is Thursday, November 9, from 5 – 10 PM, visitors pay one price to ride all the rides.

Friday evening, November 10, the festival is open from 5PM to midnight.  The festival kicks off on Saturday, November 11 at 10AM with a parade. Festival organizers ask that those who attend the parade and festival on Saturday bring out their American flags to show support for all Veterans on Veteran's Day. The festival fun will continue until midnight.  The final day of the festival is Sunday, November 12, from 10AM – 6PM.
