NEW YORK -

The National Football League has suspended Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans one game for a late hit on New Orleans Saints defensive back Marshon Lattimore during Sunday's game in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

In the third quarter of the contest, Evans plowed into Lattimore from behind after Lattimore and Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston got involved in an argument on the sideline.  The officials did not eject anyone from the contest.  However, they assessed a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty against the Buccaneers for the hit.

The Saints won the game 30-10, improving to 6-2 on the season.
