The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office is sending out a notice for a cow found last month.

On October 18, 2017, the Brand Inspector was contacted about a Hereford Cross red/white face cow found near the Palmetto Angus Farm.

The Sheriff's Office reports that surrounding cattle raisers were contacted about the cow, none report a missing animal from their farms.

State law requires the Brand Commission to post a 10-day notice before releasing the cow to the "holder".

Anyone who is missing the cow for anyone who knows who the cow belongs to is urged to call the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office.
