One lucky person will be the owner of a new home come December, thanks to Home for the Holidays.

Organizers are hosting open houses to showcase the 4-bedroom home in located at 100 Snapping Lane in Bayou Tortue Manor subdivision in Broussard. Those interested in visiting the home still have two more chances on November 19 and December 3.

You can purchase your ticket for the Home for the Holidays and get more information on the home by clicking here.

Home for the Holidays is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and annual project of the Acadian Home Builders Association (AHBA) and KATC-TV 3. Each year, the builder and associate members of AHBA build a brand new, state-of-the-art home which is given away in a raffle right before Christmas. Proceeds from ticket sales are dedicated to local, shelter-related charities including Lafayette Habitat for Humanity, Faith House, Healing House for Grieving Children, and St. Michael's Center for Veterans.

In addition to benefiting shelter-related charities, a small portion of the profits from Home for the Holidays funds construction technology scholarships at UL Lafayette to help train Acadiana's future builders. Each year, a small donation is also given to Professional Women in Building, an auxiliary organization of AHBA which supports the association's events throughout the year.
