BATON ROUGE, La. -

A Baton Rouge man was arrested after he allegedly threatened to shoot people during the Southern University Homecoming Parade on social media.

Twenty-seven-year-old Michael Jackson posted a picture of himself on social media as part of the threat with an apparent body armor vest and a silver revolver in his right hand, WBRZ reports.

The threat caused "serious concern and disruption to the general public," according to arrest records.

Records show Jackson lives nearby the parade route and was involved in a different shooting in the same area in August.

East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's deputies later arrested Jackson at his mother's home where he is required to stay based on terms of his bond on previous charges, the report states.

Jackson was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on one count of terrorizing.
