Scott post office honored in nationwide breast cancer sales competition

SCOTT, La. -

A Scott post office was honored in a nationwide breast cancer sales competition.

Clerk Tim Broussard says the post office usually does not do well when raising money for breast cancer so he decided to take matters into his own hands.
He told people in the office and around town that if they placed in the top ten groups in the state to raise money he would dye his beard and wear a pink kilt.

Needless to say, it worked,  and the post office placed 7th in the state and 39th in the nation.

"I did this for our employees and for all the ladies that are breast cancer survivors," said Broussard. "And they showed their appreciation by coming in and buying stamps even if they didn't need it. Just to raise money for breast cancer."
