The Lafayette Parish School Board will host its annual recruitment event beginning Monday, November 6 through Thursday, November 16, 2017.

The recruitment event for Magnet Academies, formerly Fall Frenzy for Schools of Choice, will be hosted at individual schools sites in the parish. The name change for the event occurred at a meeting in mid-October during a special meeting concerning schools of choice and magnet academies. One item on the agenda during that Saturday meeting was Fall Frenzy and a better way optimize the recruiting process.  More on that meeting can be read here.

Another special meeting for Schools of Choice will be held November 6, 2017. Read more on the agenda here.

LPSS says the Magnet academies site will be live after November 12, 2017, but in the meantime, parents and guardians are asked to visit the LPSS Magnet Academies" Facebook page for updates. (There are options on the Facebook site where parents can RSVP for recruitment events)

Parents may also call the Magnet Academies Office at 337-521-7044.

Applications for all academies will be open after the Thanksgiving holiday. Below is a calendar of events for Magnet Academies from LPSS.
