Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office have identified the suspect responsible for the fatal shooting in Amelia last night.
Twenty-three-year-old Hakeemia Bias, of Morgan City, is wanted on a warrant for second-degree murder in the shooting death of Christopher Singleton.
A spokeswoman for the sheriff's office says evidence revealed Bias confronted Singleton before shooting him.

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred last night in Amelia.
Deputies were called to the report of a possible shooting at 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31 on Friendship Alley in Amelia. An unresponsive male subject was located upon deputies arrival. The man was identified as 23-year old Christopher Singleton of Amelia; deputies say he sustained a gunshot wound.
Singleton was transported to Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City where he was pronounced dead. An investigation into the shooting is ongoing. There are no suspects in the case at this time.
