The Delcambre Police Department is warning business owners in the area about counterfeit bills that may be circulating.

In a Facebook post on the department's page, a $20 dollar bill with "red Chinese writing" printed across the left hand side of the bill is shown. Officers ask that the images be passed around so that others can be alerted to the fake bills.

Police advise business owners in Delcambre that this, and any bill like it, is counterfeit and should be reported to the police if someone uses them to purchase items. Police ask that if business owners or their employees encounter someone using the counterfeit bills to get a description of the perpetrator, their vehicle, and license plate number, if possible. Do not put yourself in danger.

To report any information call the Delcambre Police Department at (337) 685-2697.
