Judge Denald Beslin of Rayne dies at 88

RAYNE, La. -

Judge Denald A. "Denny" Beslin, 88, died on October 29, 2017, at his home in Rayne surrounded by his family. 

Judge Beslin was an attorney and civic leader, having practiced law in Rayne for 60 years. He served as judge of the Rayne City Court for 32 years. 

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 31 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne. Visitation will be at Gossen Funeral Home, 504 N Polk St, Rayne, LA 70578, on Monday, Oct. 30 from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. and the following Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the time of service.

Judge Beslin is survived by his wife of 65 years, Claire Arceneaux Beslin. He had eight children, thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
