RPSO releases details on murders

A brother and sister from Alexandria have been accused in connection with three murders this month.

Matthew Sonnier, 29, and his sister, Ebony Nicole Sonnier, 31, have both been booked with two counts first-degree murder, one count carrying of a firearm by a convicted felon, two counts obstruction of justice and one count criminal conspiracy. Matthew was arrested by Pineville Police following a brief pursuit, and Ebony was arrested without incident, police said. 

Police found the first victim, Latish White, 42, of Alexandria, lying in a road in the area of Melrose and Shamrock on October 18, a release states. They found she had multiple stab wounds, and pronounced her dead at the scene. 

Later that day, Pineville Police developed the Sonniers as suspects, and arrested them, the release states. 

On that same day, Rapdies Parish Sheriff's deputies found two bodies burning in a roadside ditch on Old Boyce Road. One victim was identified as Kendrick D. Horn, 33, of Alexandria, the other was identified today as Jeremy D. Norris, 28, of Alexandria. Detectives developed evidence that the slayings were related, and worked with Pineville Police on the investigation, the release states. 

Those investigators worked with the state Fire Marshal's investigators on the three crimes and turned up more evidence, the release states.
