Detectives with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office say that three brothers have been arrested for drug charges in the parish after a search of a residence in Leonville.

Reports indicate that during the search of the residence on October 24, 2017, agents observed a vehicle occupied by 3 males driving in front of the house. Two of the suspects inside the vehicle were involved in the search warrant.

Agents say they stopped the vehicle and began interviewing the 3 occupants. They were identified as 23-year-old Devon Mayon, 33-year-old Joseph Carlton Mayon Jr and 26-year-old Kendrick Lamar Mayon who are all brothers.  Both Devon and Joseph Mayon had active arrest warrants for distribution of crystal methamphetamine.

Deputies say that a search of the vehicle was conducted and agents allegedly recovered a tan plastic bag located under the hood seated next to the battery.  The bag contained marijuana, crystal methamphetamine, ecstasy, Xanax and a black digital scale.  All the occupants allegedly denied having knowledge of the narcotics and were transported to the St. Landry Parish Jail for booking.

The total amount of drugs seized was 111 Grams of Marijuana, 8 Grams of Methamphetamine, 100 Xanex pills, and 94 ecstasy pills.

Sheriff Guidroz added, "Some of the ecstasy pills were stamped with the transformer image which has been around a long time, parents still need to be aware that dealers will try to disguise the drugs in all shapes and forms.  The fact that these suspects had a wide assortment of drugs along with a scale hidden under the hood of their vehicle shows they intended to distribute the drugs and tried to hide it from law enforcement.  More arrests are expected in the case."

Anyone with drug information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 948-TIPS (8477) all calls are anonymous and you could earn a cash reward.
