Family dog located after woman unknowingly picked it up

St. Martin Parish Deputies are currently asking for the public's help in locating a woman they say unknowingly picked up a dog she thought was a stray. 

The incident occurred on Sunday, October 22, 2017, in the Henderson I-10 area. The woman, police say, stopped at a store in Henderson and upon seeing the dog, she picked it up and put it in her vehicle. Police say the dog escaped from its owner's yard and traveled to the store area.  The family lives not far from where the dog was picked up. 

Police are now asking the public to help find the vehicle or identify the woman who picked up the dog. 

Deputies report that the van has a sign on the side of the vehicle that says "25 cent jokes."

If anyone has seen this vehicle or know the person pictured please call the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office at 337-394-3071.
