Leonville lifts boil advisory

Posted: Updated:

The Town of Leonville has lifted a boil advisory issued last week.

The town has restored pressure within the water supply system to the required levels, and water samples collected by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals - Office of Public Health have been negative for coliform bacteria, a spokesman said.

Therefore the boil advisory released as a precautionary measure is now rescinded.  The water is confirmed to be safe for consumption, a spokesman said.
