Tricks and Treats Nite set for Oct 27 & 28 in Lafayette

The Lafayette Optimist Club will hold their annual Tricks and Treats Nite on Friday, October 27 and Saturday, October 28 at the Optimist Camp located at 202 Optimist Road in Lafayette. The event will begin at 6:00 pm and last until 10:00 pm.

The camp is a scare free zone where children can enjoy the Halloween spirit without getting spooked by those unwanted haunts. Children can partake in trick or treating, face painting, cookie coloring, a costume contest and several other events. Awards will be given out for best individual costume and best family costume. Concessions will also be available.

Admission is $5 per vehicle and all proceeds received during the event will go to support the Lafayette Optimist Club and the Youth of Acadiana.

A Haunted Hayride will also be available for those kids who crave a bit of a scare. The hayride is $2 per ticket.
