BATON ROUGE – LSU’s 2017 Homecoming Court was comprised of 16 exceptional students that represent three undergraduate classifications plus graduate, law and vet school students; and many of the university’s most dynamic student organizations.

The Homecoming Court includes one male and one female sophomore representative, two male and two female junior representatives and three male and three female senior representatives, and one male and one female Graduate School, Paul M. Hebert Law Center or School of Veterinary Medicine representatives. Only the six senior court members are eligible for king or queen honors.

The Homecoming Court is an annual tradition that recognizes exceptional members of the LSU student body. The Homecoming Court is chosen in a multi-stage selection process that includes an application review round, a round of interviews with judges, and a vote of the LSU student body for Queen and King. The Homecoming King and Queen were announced at halftime during the LSU vs. Troy University football game Saturday, Sept. 30, as Queen Camille Faircloth and King Matthew Boudreaux.

Boudreaux is a senior in human resource education; he's from Lafayette. Faircloth is a senior from Pineville, and she's majoring in kinesiology.

All LSU students were eligible to vote for the 2017 Homecoming king and queen via their TigerLink accounts and were asked to authenticate using their official LSU student credentials.

In 1933, LSU selected its first Homecoming queen. Marguerite Bass was chosen by the student body president and reigned with a princess and seven maids. The university selected its first African-American Homecoming Queen in 1991 with the election of Renee Boutte. The following year, LSU began selecting a Homecoming King to reign with the queen. In 2014, LSU saw its most diverse king and queen couple ever, electing Bradley Williams and Chi Nguyen as their representatives. In 2015, LSU elected its first international royalty, King Michael Panther Mayen, from South Sudan, Africa. This year’s Court were joined by 2016 Queen Natalie Burges and King Jacques Petit.
