UL Lafayette to hold Science Day 2017 on Nov 3

Posted: Updated:

UL Lafayette will hold Science Day 2017 on Friday, November 3. The day begins at 7:30 a.m. and last until 12:30 p.m. The day, co-sponsored by Halliburton, invites high school juniors and seniors to experience what life is like as a science major at UL Lafayette. Activities will be located in the UL Lafayette Student Union and in some laboratories on campus.

This is the fourth year of the event and students have the ability to visit each of the science departments to witness experiments demonstrating what students can expect if they decide to take on a science major. Each department presentation will take a half hour.  Majors like Biology, Chemistry, and Computer Science are just a few of the disciplines that will be covered during the event.

School groups are welcomed to pre-register for the event. Individual students may register along with their parents if they are interested in attending but are not part of school group. There is a cap on the number of students who are able to participate so registration is necessary to attend Science Day 2017.

More information on the event including registration, event schedule, and parking are available at sciences.louisiana.edu.
