Missing girl out of New Orleans found safe

UPDATE: The FBI confirms 12-year-old Priscilla Moreci is safe after numerous state and local law enforcement agencies located her in a New Orleans neighborhood.

A spokesman for the New Orleans Field Office of the FBI credits investigators from the FBI New Orleans Field Office’s Child Exploitation Task Force, FBI New Orleans Joint Child Abduction Rapid Deployment (J-CARD) team, Louisiana State Police, New Orleans Police Department, and Lamar Advertising in the recovery of Priscilla. 


Social media, including the "Help find Priscilla Elizabeth Moreci" Facebook page, suggests 12-year-old Priscilla was located and is safe.

No further details have been released. A spokesman with for the New Orleans Field Office of the FBI says they are not commenting at this time.


Authorities are searching for a 12-year-old girl who went missing on Thursday in New Orleans.

A spokesman for the New Orleans Field Office of the FBI says Priscilla Elizabeth Moreci was scheduled to meet her father in the 900 block of St. Phillip Street in the French Quarter after school.

Surveillance video shows Priscilla walking along the 800 block of Dumaine Street at approximately 6:51 p.m. 

Priscilla is about 5'3" tall and weighs approximately 115 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair. Priscilla was last seen wearing her Einstein Middle School uniform blue sweatshirt over a white polo shirt, paired with black pants and dark-colored tennis shoes with light-colored soles. She was also wearing a dark-colored rubber bracelet. The middle school student was carrying a gray messenger style laptop bag or satchel along with a dark-colored backpack. Priscilla's hair was up in a messy bun, and her fingernails were painted black. 

The spokesman says Priscilla was last seen in the French Quarter, but resides in the 4900 block of St. Charles Street in New Orleans.
