A Lafayette grand jury declined to indict a Delcambre woman in connection with a fatal accident that happened in Youngsville.

The grand jury issued a not true bill, meaning they refused to indict, in the negligent homicide case agaisnt Rebecca Ann Louis Weber, 33.

She was the driver in a June 2016 accident that left Michael Thomas dead and his friend, Joshua Powers, seriously injured.

Both teens worked at the Youngsville Sonic.

The accident happened on Piat Road, but the sheriff's office would not release details about the circumstances.
