US Hwy 90 Westbound reopens after crash

U.S. Hwy 90 Westbound was closed for a short while on Wednesday morning at St. Nazaire Rd due to an crash. Broussard Police Chief Brannon Decou says that the crash occurred when an 18-wheeler traveling westbound on St. Nazaire Rd. disregarded a red light and attempted to turn onto US Hwy 90. The 18-wheeler struck a truck traveling westbound on Hwy 90 and then stalled in the roadway. 

Crews were on scene immediately diverting traffic on St. Nazaire Rd. and onto Ambassador Caffery. No injuries were reported, and the accident was cleared. Traffic, according to Broussard Police, is now moving normally.


According to Broussard Police, U.S. Hwy 90 Westbound at St. Nazaire road is closed due to a crash.
