SLEMCO is closely watching the Gulf of Mexico and says they will be monitoring the development and progress of the Tropical Storm Nate.

Although the storm is predicted to hit east of SLEMCO's system, the energy company says they will continue to monitor the situation. The company already has crews and plans should the system make a slight change in course.

Both SLEMCO crews and contractor crews specializing in electrical construction and Right-of-Way tree clearing are on standby for any possible outages that may be experienced during the storm.  The company says materials have been stockpiled in case there is a need to respond immediately to any outages that affect our service area.
SLEMCO urges that everyone obey all advisories from emergency officials and stay away from any downed power lines.

To report SLEMCO outages call 1-888-275-3626.
