Southern University changes homecoming game due to Nate

The Southern University (SU) System and the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness continue to monitor forecasts and weather announcements related to Tropical Storm Nate.

The SU Athletic Department announced Thursday that kickoff for Saturday's football game against Alabama A&M has been moved up to 1:00 p.m. at A.W. Mumford Stadium.

The annual homecoming parade and the homecoming day party have been canceled.

The University also announced Sunday's soccer and volleyball games have also been postponed until further notice. 

Updates and announcements regarding any developments related to weather conditions will be provided via e-mail, on their website (www.sus.edu), and via social, and local media.
