Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's deputies arrested a Lake Charles man Wednesday night in connection with the shooting death of another.

Patrick Green, 32, was booked with one count of manslaughter in connection with the shooting death of Terren Zeno, 24, of Lake Charles.

Deputies were called to a home on Opelousas Street at about 10 p.m. When they arrived, they were told that shots had been fired, and found Zeno dead inside the home. An investigation revealed that Zeno had been fighting on the telephone with someone who lived at the home, a spokeswoman said. Zeno arrived at the house at the same time Green did, she said. A confrontation happened outside the house, and then Green walked into the home. Zeno allegedly tried to get into the house to continue the fight, and then he allegedly was shot by Green, the spokeswoman said.

The homeowner and the three men who were involved in the altercation were all acquaintances, the spokeswoman said.

Green's bond has been set at $250,000.

CPSO Detective Travis Lavergne is the lead investigator on this case.
