Lafayette welcomes Cirque du Soleil

LAFAYETTE, La. -

Cirque du Soleil has made its way to Lafayette as the crew prepares for their four-night show, beginning tomorrow.

Six artists in the Comeaux High Arts Program are working on a mural to welcome Cirque du Soleil.

The 8-feet-tall-24-feet long masterpiece celebrates the start of the show, which is tomorrow at the Cajundome.

"I already know we are going to be so proud of our work," said Chloe Blank, a 12th grader at Comeaux High School. "I'm probably going to cry because that's who I am, but we are all super excited to give away something we created from scratch ourselves."

Tickets are on sale now, starting at $30.

The show will start at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 4 through Saturday, October 7.

The matinee on Sunday, October 8 begins at 1 p.m.
