All lanes open on I-10 near Grosse Tete following crash involving 18-wheelers

UPDATE: All lanes are open on I-10 East at mile marker 146. Congestion remains at Ramah (MM135).

The left lane has opened leaving the right lane blocked on I-10 East at MM 146 due to an accident. Congestion has reached Grosse Tete.

State Police say the two drivers of the 18-wheelers have sustained minor to moderate injuries.

I-10 eastbound, east of Grosse Tete, is closed due to a crash involving two 18-wheelers, according to state police.

Emergency crews are currently working to reopen I-10. 

Motorists are encouraged to use I-49 as an alternate route.
