Posted: Updated:

The Louisiana Workforce Commission will host the Acadiana Diversity Job Fair on October 10, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Heymann Performing Arts Center located at 1373 S College Rd in Lafayette.

This is the 14th year the Louisiana Workforce Commission has hosted the event. The event is Free and open to all job seekers and the public. There is no cost for employers who wish to set up a booth at the job fair.

The event hopes to present a diverse group of potential employees to prospective businesses in Acadiana and get more people in Acadiana back to work. The LWC also hopes this event will help assist the businesses who attend with any needs they may have concerning diversity employment.

Last year's event hosted 750 potential employees and an updated list of businesses. Interpreters will also be on hand to assist job seekers who may be hearing impaired.

Applications can be sent in online at the job fair's website, lafayette.org/jobfair
