8th Annual Breaux Bridge Jambalaya Cook-Off happening Saturday

The 8th Annual Breaux Bridge Jambalaya Cook-Off will be held this Saturday, September 30 in Breaux Bridge. The cook-off begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. at Park du Pont on the banks of the Bayou Teche. 

Entry spots are still available for those wishing to join the cook-off. Spots are $30 for a team to enter, the teams must cook at least five pounds of meat in their jambalaya. 

Event tickets are $10 per person, and each attendee will receive an armband allowing them to sample each team's jambalaya in an "all-you-can-eat" fashion. Live music will also be available with Hugh and the Wrecking Crew and Geno Delafose performing at 1:00 p.m.

The Breaux Bridge Area Chamber is sponsoring the event and all proceeds will go to the support the City of Breaux Bridge, their community, and businesses.
