One arrested, another wanted for August shooting death in Opelousas

Opelousas Police have been able to identify two suspects and make one arrest in connection with an August shooting death in the city.

On August 27, 2017, OPD began working a shooting death of 38-year-old Lester Bowman of Opelousas. The incident occurred at around 11:20 p.m. at the intersection of Lombard Street and Congress Street. Upon officers arrival, Police say Bowman was found dead behind his residence near where he was shot. He died from several gunshot wounds 

Police were able to identify two suspects in connection with the shooting death. On Monday, September 18, 2017, investigators, with the help of Baker police and East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, were able to locate 18-year-old Treshawnitra Landheart of Batchelor, LA. Landheart was transported back to Opelousas where she was later booked and processed on principle to second-degree murder. 

Currently being sought by police is a second suspect, 26-year-old Liquincy Revish of Baton Rouge. Revish currently has an active felony warrant for second-degree murder.
