A Texas man has been arrested in Colorado in connection with a Friday bank robbery in Lake Charles.

Lionel Charles Baltimore, 38, of Humble, Texas, was arrested in Denver in connection with the robbery of the Chase Bank on North Martin Luther King Highway.

The robbery happened on Friday afternoon; police said a man entered the bank and demanded a large amount of money. He received some cash and fled in a small SUV. He was not armed, and was described as wearing a camo shirt and blue jeans, police said.

On Sunday, Detectives were contacted by the Denver Colorado Police Department about a man who said he had committed a bank robbery in Lake Charles. Baltimore allegedly admitted to a Denver detective that he had robbed the bank in Lake Charles, police said.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Baltimore which was presented to Judge Guy Bradberry.  Judge Bradberry issued a $1,000,000 dollar bond.  Baltimore was booked into the Denver Police Department Jail to await extradition to Louisiana.
