Photos sent in to WBRZ in Baton Rouge shows blood leaking onto the street behind a Baton Rouge funeral home.

The photo, according to WBRZ, was taken behind Greenoaks Funeral Home on Florida Boulevard and shows a substance leaking from a valve on the property. The substance, according to a city official, was blood mixed with Formaldehyde.

It was determined that a tank behind the funeral home which stores excess fluid used in the embalming process was leaking due to a blockage in the line. The leak lasted for 20 minutes.

City officials told WBRZ that because the leak was on private property, it would not run into the city's sewer system. They city says the funeral home is under new management and did not have a permit.

The city is looking to get the funeral home signed up for a permit.
