Acadia Parish Fall Youth Initiative

Acadia Parish is holding a Fall Youth Initiative this Saturday, September, 17 at the Crowley Middle school gymnasium. The event will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 2 p.m.

The event, entitiled Community and Greeks Stepping Up, will offer student and their parents/guardians and opportunity to see, hear and experience what it takes to apply to and be successful in college.

Free food will be available for those who attend along with entertainment from Greek organizations and local high school bands. Activities will include a demonstration on how students and their parents can apply for FAFSA, how to prepare for college and what courses students should take for success in college.

Organizers ask for youth, their parents and gaurdians come out and prepare to stay for the entire event. Youth groups are highly encouraged to attend, chaperones are required. 

The event is catered to all those who want to know more about college preparation. All are welcomed.
