Big donation to St. Martin Parish Animal Shelter

Posted: Updated:

Following the two big storms this past month, National Animal Organizations are seeing donations come in faster than they can hand them out.

Today the Bull Terrier Club of America and Classic Kippers from Shreveport donated an entire truckload of dog food and other supplies to the St. Martin Parish Animal Shelter.

They are among area shelters who have seen increased animals due to damage in Texas and Florida.

The group also did a drop-off in Beaumont last week.

"So when we have a crisis people know who we are, that we are trustworthy, that their things will go because I will go with them down here or wherever they're needed," said Amanda Clingan, Bull Terrier Coordinator for Louisiana. "And so they give. These people from all over the United States having things dropped, shipped through Amazon, people from Shreveport that come in droves, this is our second load."
