A special shout-out to the Winners of KATC Idol Front of the Line Pass Contest: Saasha Small, Caleb Smith, and Jaxon Meche

Our three winners will get a chance to move to the front of the line during Thursday's auditions in New Orleans. KATC and Hub City Ford wish these three talented hopefuls "Good Luck".

The ABC reboot of "American Idol is hosting the last preliminary tryout for "Idol" which premieres in 2018.  Follow-up auditions will begin in October.

Singer Katy Perry has already signed up to be a judge, plus a familiar face will return, Ryan Seacrest is set to host the talent show.  The two remaining judge's chairs have yet to be filled.

It is not too late to sign up to audition, click HERE to register online, or you can register Thursday morning at the Convention center.  Signup is expected to start no later than 9 a.m. and continues throughout the day.

Prospective contestants must be between 15 and 28 years old as of June 11, 2017, and a legal resident with the unrestricted right to work in the U.S. Those unable to make the in-person auditions can submit an audition video online at the website listed above.
