Sulphur Police make prostitution busts at local hotels

Sulphur Police made multiple arrests recently after a prostitution sting.

Officers had received complaints of suspected prostitution and solicitation for prostitution at Sulphur area hotels. Using the online service known as Backpage.com, officers began an undercover investigation. Undercover officers found customers who were trying to hire prostitutes, and also some that were willing to exchange drugs for prostitutes.

Arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail were:

Tristen Trimaine Thomas, 21 of Houma, booked on an outstanding NCIC warrant and prostitution solicitation.

Lawrence Terrell Darbonne, 53 of Sulphur, booked with possession and distribution of CDS schedule II drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal carrying of weapons and prostitution solicitation.

Damien Demion Williams, 32 of Sulphur, booked with prostitution solicitation.

Roger Glenn Peoples, 52 of Welch, booked with prostitution solicitation.

Israel Huitron, 30 of Odessa, Texas, booked with prostitution solicitation.

Jerbert Jerome Thomas, 34 of Sulphur, booked with criminal conspiracy, possession and distribution of CDS schedule II drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and prostitution solicitation,

Santanna Rinella Durgan, 31 of Mamou, booked with criminal conspiracy, possession and distribution of CDS schedule II drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and prostitution solicitation.
