LUS helping restore power in Tallahassee, FL

The Lafayette Utility System crews are in Tallahassee Florida helping restore the power after Hurricane Irma. 

On Facebook, LUS shared several posts about a select number of crews out in the Sunshine State's capital working on downed power lines.

Crews left Sunday afternoon and made the 11 hour trip from Lafayette. WTXL in Tallahassee reports that 11,181 customers in the city had their power restored but thousands more are still left in the dark. Crews had to stop work Monday morning due to high winds moving through the area.

LUS says that they believe in neighbors helping neighbors and stand together with Floridians.
