BATON ROUGE - Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns quarterback Jordan Davis picked up his first career weekly honor on Monday when he was selected as the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Offensive Player of the Week.

Davis, a junior from Spring, Texas, was selected by a panel of statewide media members.

In his second career start, Davis established career-highs in passing yards (309), rushing yards (60), total offense (369), completions (21), total touchdowns (4), passing touchdowns (2) and rushing touchdowns (2) in the Ragin' Cajuns game at Tulsa. His 309 yards through the air on 21 of 32 passing was the 33rd 300-yard passing game by a Ragin' Cajuns quarterback in school history and was the first since Terrence Broadway threw for 335 yards against Texas State on Oct. 5, 2013.

Davis scored on TD runs of 1 and 9 yards while tossing TD passes to Keenan Barnes (15 yards) and Elijah Mitchell (19 yards).

Allen Pittman of Nicholls State (16 tackles at Texas A&M) was named the LSWA Defensive Player of the Week with LSU's D.J. Chark (65-yard punt return for TD; 176 all-purpose yards) named Special Teams Player of the Week.
