LAFAYETTE, La. -

Severe wind from today's thunderstorms uprooted a tree in a well-known residential neighborhood in Lafayette.

The large tree, which according to Ryan Abshire-- president of Abbeville Tree Service-- appears to be a pecan tree, is resting on a St. Thomas Street residence.

According to Meteorologist Eric Zernich, much of Acadiana received between 1-3 inches of rain.

But, good news-- rain chances are low as we enter Sunday.
