St. Landry Crime Stoppers and Deputy Alex Andrus of the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office need your help in solving a rash of Opelousas business burglaries within a block of each other.

On July 20, 2017, Deputies were dispatched to Southwest Feed and Farm Supply located in the 2800 block of West Landry Street.  The suspects removed metal tin to gain entry into the building.  Stolen in burglary were 12 bottles of Opti Force horse spray, 6 pairs of size 10 ½ Double H boots, and a red candy dispensing machine.  The items were valued at over $1,200 dollars.

Then on July 21st and 23rd 2017, Deputies responded to Sunshine Quality in the 2900 block of West Landry Street for another burglary.  At 3:41am the alarm was activated when the thieves broke a window of the business.  Stolen was 4 Stihl back pack blowers models BR 450 to 700, 1 Stihl chainsaw model MS251, and 5 Stihl trimmers models FS56 to 131 and KM 90 to 131.  The total loss of value was listed at over 3,500 dollars.

Detectives were able to recover DNA and other key evidence at the scene for analysis.  Tip us online at St Landry Crime Stoppers.com.  Be alert, be safe, and God bless you.  On behalf of Crime Stoppers and Deputy Alex Andrus, I am Major Eddie Thibodeaux.
