Sex offenders arrested for failing to register

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Registry Unit continues to review sex offenders for compliance, and over the past weeks have found four in violation of the requirements set by law.

“We want these individuals to be compliant with the law to assure our citizens that they are following the rules of their release. We are committed to assuring that this occurs." said Sheriff KP Gibson.

Recently arrested were:

  • Charles Dugas, 44 of Rayne. Dugas was charged for failure to register as a tier I sex offender within 3 days of his release from custody. Bond was set at $20,000
  • Trivual Batiste, 47 of Rayne. Batiste was charged with failure to register as a tier I sex offender and failure to provide community notification as a convicted sex offender. Bond has been set at $20,000
  • David Breaux, 56 of Crowley. Breaux was charged with failure to register as a tier I sex offender and failure to provide community notification as a convicted sex offender. Bond was set at $30,000
  • David Noel, 36 of Crowley. Noel was booked for failure to notify of temporary lodging as a convicted sex offender and failure to provide community notification by a convicted sex offender. Bond was set at $30,000

All were booked into the Acadia Parish Jail.
