Fire Chief wanted for shooting of wife found dead in Colorado

Baton Rouge area Fire Captain Rudolf Shoats, who was wanted in the killing of his wife in Woodville, Mississippi, has been found dead in his pickup in Durango, Colorado by a gunshot to the head, our media partners at the Advocate report. 

Shoats pulled into an emergency room parking lot in Durango Monday afternoon, and soon after employees heard a gunshot, said Wilkinson County, Mississippi, Sheriff Reginald Jackson. His vehicle then went down a cliff and flipped, Jackson said. Responders were able to identify Shoats from the scene, the newspaper reports.
