The Henderson Levee Road will be down to one lane after part of it collapsed.

DOTD announced Wednesday that LA 352 ( Henderson Levee Road), will be down to one lane starting about .2 miles south of LA 352 (Henderson Highway).

The lane closure will be in effect until the road can be repaired;  the lane closure is due to a levee failure which caused the south bound lane to collapse.

Bi-directional traffic will be controlled by a temporary alternating traffic signal, DOTD says.

The road will be open to regular traffic with a 10 foot lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the area.

Motorists are advised to obey all traffic signs and signals.

Both lanes will be reopened once the levee failure is repaired.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds motorists to please drive with caution and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

DOTD apologizes for any inconvenience this necessary work may cause.
