Dedication ceremony for new pipeline in Cameron Parish

Posted: Updated:

Sempra LNG & Midstream representatives, contractors, local government officials and community leaders today participated in the dedication ceremony of the newly completed $143 million Cameron Interstate Pipeline expansion, Holbrook Compressor Station and associated facilities in southwest Louisiana.

The expansion project adds bi-directional flow to the existing Cameron Interstate Pipeline to transport up to 1.5 billion cubic feet per day of U.S. natural gas to the Cameron LNG liquefaction facility currently under construction in Hackberry, La.

"We are pleased to have completed this important project that will safely and reliably transport natural gas to the Cameron LNG liquefaction project for its export to worldwide markets while supporting the local and regional economy," said Mike
Gallagher, senior vice president of services and gas operations for Sempra LNG & Midstream. "We are thankful for the continued support from the community and local and state government officials, as well as the dedication of our development team over
the past five years to make this project a reality."

The expansion project included an approximately 3.5-mile, 36 inch-pipeline addition, the construction of Holbrook Compressor Station facility in Sulphur, La., modifications to the Texas Eastern Transmission Company meter station in Ragley, La.,
and to the Tennessee Gas Pipeline meter station in Sulphur, La., as well as the construction of a new meter station at the site of the Cameron LNG liquefaction facility.

The expansion project received certificate authorization from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in June 2014 and was approved to commence service last month.

The Cameron LNG liquefaction project is expected to begin processing liquefied natural gas (LNG) for global markets in the second half of 2018. Once completed, the facility will have the capacity to process 2.1 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas
through three liquefaction trains.

Sempra LNG & Midstream leads Sempra Energy's efforts to develop and build natural gas liquefaction facilities, integrated midstream natural gas infrastructure and natural gas storage.

Sempra LNG & Midstream is a subsidiary of Sempra Energy (NYSE:SRE), a Fortune 500 energy services holding company based in San Diego with 2016 revenues of more than $10 billion. The Sempra Energy companies' more than 16,000 employees
serve approximately 32 million consumers worldwide.
