BATON ROUGE, La. -

UPDATE: All lanes are open on I-10 East at LA 415 following a fiery fatal crash on I-10 East in Lobdell earlier this evening. The queue from this incident is minimal on I-10 East before I-49 North and has reached approximately four miles in length on I-10 East before LA 415.

All lanes are now open on I-10 West at LA 415. Congestion has reached the Mississippi River Bridge on I-10 West.

State Police report that two 18-wheelers were involved.

The crash, which police say claimed at least one life, blocked Interstate 10 in both directions near the Lobdell exit around 5:30 p.m. The crash was in the eastbound lane, but heavy smoke and fire was blocking both lanes.

WBRZ reports five vehicles were burned in the incident that injured six others. One individual was taken the hospital and two other individuals declined medical assistance, according to the report.
