Sulphur man killed after falling from scaffolding

CALCASIEU PARISH -

A 24-year-old Sulphur man was killed after falling at a Calcasieu Parish business. 

According to a spokeswoman for the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office, Tyler J. Truett fell from a scaffolding at the site of Sasol, a chemical plant in Westlake. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Truett was an employee of Performance Contractor based out of Baton Rouge. 

Foul play is not suspected, the death appears to be accidental, stated the spokeswoman.
