What's Your Story? Episode 8: Lafayette

Posted: Updated:
LAFAYETTE, La. -

Tonight is the eighth episode in our series "What's Your Story?" set in the City of Lafayette.

Breanna Molloy chooses her story by chance. She threw a dart at a map of Acadiana and wherever it lands is where she'll go. At the location she holds a sign that reads "What's Your Story?"

The first person willing to tell their story is the story she'll tell.  That person then throws the next dart to determine where Breanna will go next.

It was in downtown Lafayette that Breanna met David Faucheux and his friend, David Harris.

Faucheux lost his vision as a teenager, but that only deepened his love of books. He reads 4-5 hours a day, sometimes by Braille, and sometimes by audio. Now, he hopes to break stereotypes through a book he’s writing himself. This is his story.

Note:

Faucheux and Harris met through the non-profit Love INC. Love INC helps local church members meet the needs of individuals in Acadiana. After Faucheux expressed he needed help with his weekly errands, Harris volunteered for the job. They soon became friends. You can find more information about Love Inc at loveinclafayette.org.
