12 students released from hospital after morning bus crash

Twelve children have been released from the hospital following a school bus crash in Scott this morning.  

Lafayette Parish School System spokeswoman Mona Bernard said another driver ran a red light and caused the accident. The students were transported to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries. 

School system Transportation Director Damon Evans said there were 32 kids on the bus at the time of the crash. It was bus #320 and it was going to Scott Middle.
