A group of Mamou High School seniors are trying to re-raise the money for their senior trip after someone stole it all earlier this week. According to their gofundme page, the group had been raising the money for five years, but someone broke into the class sponsor's home and stole it. Rachel Israel writes "It was definitely my own neglect for not having the money locked up. Someone pulled my a/c unit out of the window and entered my home while I was not home."  Israel tells us she only took the money out of the bank because she was going to make a deposit on the trip, but the money was stolen before that happened.

The students raised the money through bake sales, raffles, dances, and other events they've put on since 2009.  The plan was to go to Panama City in May, and all 82 graduating seniors would have been eligible to go.

Their goal is the $3,500 that was taken, and they're hoping the community can help. If you'd like to donate, click HERE: http://www.gofundme.com/MHSCLASSTRIP Police say this is still an open investigation and if you have information, you're asked to call the Mamou Police Department.
